Plain Old List shows

  • Student Name
  • Form
  • Subject
  • Teacher
  • Lesson Day

You could also produce a 'plain old list' by navigating to the Tuition file (List View) and then saving as excel. This option will be more useful if you want any additional information such as Enrolment Date, Student ID or Lesson Type. But if you just want to quickly produce and print a list showing the absolute basics, this button is for you!

Plain Old List 2

This list is a slightly different version of the Plain Old List. It shows:

  • Student Name
  • Form
  • Subject
  • Lesson Type

It summarises by teacher and produces each teacher's list on a new page.

When you click either of the 'Plain Old List' buttons, the computer will automatically work through a number of steps:

1. Firstly, it will enter FIND MODE, allowing you to enter your own search criteria. However, you will notice that in the 'Status' field, a find request has already been entered i.e. 'Current'. This is because usually you would want to find only the current enrolments. By including this request in the script it means you don't have to remember to type it in all the time! You can modify the search criteria, however, by typing in your own request before clicking 'Continue'. For example, if you only want to print the students for one teacher, you could type in the teacher's name at this point.

2. Click 'Continue' at the top right of your screen.

3. The computer will then FIND the records specified by your criteria and sort them by Teacher Full Name. (However if you want to change the sort order, you can click 'Cancel' in the status bar and click any of the column headings to re-sort.)

4. It will then take you to a different LAYOUT of this information (the 'Plain Old List 2' layout).

5. It will then pause for you to have a look at the information.

6. If you're happy with the Preview, click the Print icon at the top of the screen.

7. You can then click 'Continue' at the top right of the screen and it will take you back to the 'Tuition Details' layout, in Browse Mode (back to where you started).
