Clicking any of the Conductor List buttons will produce printable lists of your ensemble members - the kind of list your conductors would find useful as a quick-reference contact list. These lists are quite condensed, with the Ensemble details at the top of each page (name, conductor, time, etc.) and member details underneath.
Conductor List 1 prints portrait style and includes student name, form, ensemble part, and contact phone numbers (home and mobile).
Conductor List 2 prints landscape style and includes the fields above as well as contact email addresses.
Conductor List 3 was designed specifically for Conservatoriums. It prints landscape style and includes student name, school, date of birth, primary contact details (name, phone numbers, email addresses), details for additional contacts, as well as any special needs. In addition, if the student has not been given 'Photo Permission', the student name will be shaded yellow.
When you click this button, the computer will automatically work through a number of steps:
1. Firstly, it will enter FIND MODE, allowing you to enter your own search criteria. However, you will notice that in the 'Status' field, a find request has already been entered i.e. 'Current'. This is because usually you would want to find only the students currently in ensembles. By including this request in the script it means you don't have to remember to type it in all the time! You can modify the search criteria, however, by typing in your own request before clicking 'Continue'. For example, if you only want to print the students for one ensemble, you could type in the ensemble name at this point.
2. Click 'Continue' at the top right of the screen.
3. The computer will then FIND the records specified by your criteria and sort them by Ensemble Name, Ensemble Part (instrument), Last Name and First Name.
4. It will then take you to a different LAYOUT of this information (the 'Conductor List 1' or 'Conductor List 2' layout) and pause for you to have a look at the information.
5. If you're happy with the Preview, click the Print icon at the top of the screen.
6. Click 'Continue' at the top right of the screen to take you back to the 'Ensemble Details' layout, in Browse Mode (back to where you started).
NOTE: You can change the sort order of your report, or omit certain records, by cancelling the script, whilst in Preview mode. (Click 'Cancel' in the status bar at left.) You can then select 'Sort' from the 'Records' menu in the toolbar at the top of the screen and make any changes. You can also select certain records and omit them from the current found set. To preview your report again, choose 'Preview' from the 'View' menu. To get back to the layout where you started, use the layout drop-down menu at the top of the status bar - select 'Ensemble Details'.
