This report is found at Common Tasks > Printouts > Students::Class Lists (music involvement)
It is also found at Common Tasks > Beginning of term > Students::Class Lists (music involvement)
This list is a combination of the Class Lists that can be printed from the Tuition Enrolments file (showing private music lessons only) and the Ensemble Enrolments file (showing ensembles/classes only). The report shows students grouped by class.
- For each student, up to three tuition or ensemble enrolments are listed with the day, time, teacher and venue.
- Lesson times do not display if the time is rotating.
- Each class prints on a new page.
The list shows:
- Subject
- Teacher Name
- Lesson Day
- Time
- Venue
- Ensemble Name
- Conductor
- Day
- Time
- Venue
Please note, however, that it shows only UP TO 3 lines per student, so if a student is involved in more than 3 ensembles for example, the last few will not be displayed.
A separate page is printed for each class group. The class (or Form) is printed at the top right of the page and, if it has been imported, the class teacher's name is also printed.
When you select this button, the computer will automatically work through a number of steps:
1. Firstly, it will enter FIND MODE, allowing you to enter your own search criteria. However, you will notice that in the Status field, a find request has already been entered i.e. 'Active'. This is because usually you would want to find only the students that are enrolled in either tuition or ensembles. By including this request in the script it means you don't have to remember to type it in all the time! You can modify the search criteria, however, by typing in your own request before selecting Continue. For example, if you only want a printout of the Junior School students, you could type '<7' (less than 7) in the Year Level field at this point.
2. Select Continue at the top right of your screen.
3. The computer will then FIND the records specified by your criteria and sort them by Year Level, Form, and Student Last Name.
4. It will then take you to a different LAYOUT of this information (the 'Class List (music involvement)' layout).
5. It will then pause for you to have a look at the information.
6. If you're happy with the Preview, select the Print icon at the top of the screen.
7. Select Continue at the top of the screen to take you back to where you started.
NOTE: You can change the sort order of your report, or omit certain records, by cancelling the script, whilst in Preview mode (select Cancel in the status bar at left). You can then select Records > Sort from the menu in the toolbar at the top of the screen and make any changes. You can also select certain records and omit them from the current found set. To preview your report again, choose 'Preview' from the 'View' menu.
To get back to a familiar screen, use the layout drop-down menu at the top of the status bar - select 'Student Form View'.
